2015 Chardonnay French Creek Vineyard

The vineyard site is a gently sloping south facing hillside north east of Prosser in the Yakima Valley. Planted in 1982, the Wente Clone vines are deeply rooted and well established. The vineyard is expertly managed by noted grower Damon LaLonde, and the grapes are highly coveted by winemakers in Washington and Oregon.

On the nose: Toasty citrus and melon, crème brûlée, baked gravenstein apple, flinty. On the palate: Pear and cream, crisp acidity, restrained oak, spicy finish. This wine pairs well with oysters on the half shell, Dungeness crab or fresh baked steelhead.
